Toyota India: The new facelifted Toyota Camry sedan has been launched in India. The Toyota Camry enjoys a healthy demand in India. It is the nine-generation Toyota Camrythat has been launched by the Japanese manufacturer. The facelifted Toyota Camry has been launched in India at a price of Rs 48 lakh, ex-showroom.

New Facelifted Toyota Camry

The new Toyota Camry is expensive than its outgoing model. It is priced 1.85 lakh more expensive. and Toyota India has announced that they will hike the prices of the Camry in the coming days.

The new Toyota Camry was launched globally a year ago. Its India launch has taken place now. The Toyota Camry continues to offer four-cylinder engine for the hybrid powertrain. Also, it gets more features than before.

Visibly the new Toyota Camry is bolder and more stylish than ever before. Toyota India has said that they are aiming to deliver over 200 models of the new Camry soon. The luxury sedan will be locally assembled at Toyota India’s Bidadi plant in Karnataka.

New Facelifted Toyota Camry Competitors

The new Toyota Camry is priced at Rs 56 lakh, on-road price. At that price tag, it is quite an expensive sedan. But it more affordable than the BMW, Audi, and Mercedes sedans. The new Toyota Camry offers similar features and comfort as the other big brand cars.

The new Camry will now directly rival the Skoda Superb. Skoda India has showcased the new Skoda Superb. The luxury sedan is launching in India in a few months. Skoda Superb will be priced like the Camry. The new Camry will also challenge Mercedes C Class, BMW 2 Series, Audi A3, and the upcoming electric sedan from BYD Seal.

New Facelifted Toyota Camry Engine

The new Camry offers 25 kmpl of fuel efficiency which is quite impressive. Toyota India has claimed that they are offering an 8-year and 1.6 lakh km warrant on the battery of the new Camry. The luxury sedan is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that is joined to an e-CVT working in tandem with an electric motor. The 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine makes 184 horsepower and 221Nm of torque, while the hybrid engine makes 134 horsepower and 208 Nm torque.

New Facelifted Toyota Camry Exterior

Like all the Toyota models that are sold in India, the new Camry adopts the brand’s signature ‘Hammerhead’ design language. The current generation sedan is produced on the TNGA-K stage of Toyota. It gets new 18-inch alloy wheels and C-shaped LED tail lights. It also gets new slim LED headlights with daytime running lights, and a new ‘T’ brand logo in the front.

It measures 4920 mm in length, 1840 mm in width, 1455 mm in height, 2825 mm of wheelbase with 19-inch alloy wheels.

New Facelifted Toyota Camry Interior And Features

The new Camry features a new premium dashboard and interior detail.

It gets features like a panoramic sunroof, 10-way powered front seats, nine airbags, ADAS safety suite, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, 12.3-inch multifunction display, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, 3-zone automatic climate control, 12.3-inch infotainment system, and 9-speaker JBL sound system among others.

Conclusion

The new Toyota Camry might be expensive. But it offers similar safety, comfort and features as the some of the most expensive cars. Customers can book the car right way and can expect deliver within a month. However, the upcoming Skoda Superb is going to challenge the sales of the new Camry significantly.
