Mercedes Benz India: The new GLC Coupe has been finally launched in India. The Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG was launched globally last year. The coupe car has finally made its way in India this year.

The new Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG is introduced in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.11 crore. The coupe car makes its way to India by the CBU route.

New Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG Powertrain
The new GLC 43 Coupe AMG gets a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid tech. It can sprint from 0 to 100 in just 4.8 seconds. The engine is coupled with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and translates power to all four wheels. It gets four drive modes: sport +, race, comfort, and sport.
New Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG Features
The GLC 43 Coupe AMG does not get as many as features like the GLE Coupe. But Mercedes Benz has introduced several new features such as a head-up display, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, a 15-speaker Burmester music system, 360-degree camera, and an 11.9-inch vertical infotainment touchscreen. The new GLC Coupe misses out on ADAS safety suite feature.
New Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG Interior
Inside, the new GLC Coupe adopts similar interior and dashboard design as the standard GLC SUV. However, the coupe car gets AMG specific treatments such as the sporty seats with Nappa leather attached with AMG branded pedals and floor mats. The AMG Coupe also gets illuminated door sills, AMG specific steering wheel with carbon fibre design.
New Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG Exterior
The new GLC Coupe gets a redesigned front and rear look. However, it looks the same from side as the outgoing model. It gets new set of alloy wheels that can be upgraded to 21-inch custom wheels. It has nine different exterior paint schemes to choose from. It also gets digital LED headlamps with AMG-specific vertical slat griller, LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. The GLC Coupe gets extra AMG elements such as side skirting, rear diffuser, AMG spec sloping roofline, new bumpers and sportier front look.
New Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG Price And Competitors
The new Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG is quite expensive than before. The 2021 GLC 43 Coupe AMG was priced at Rs 1.05 crore on, road price whereas the 2025 GLC 43 Coupe AMG is priced at Rs 1.31 crore, on-road price.
Interestingly, the GLC Coupe has no direct competitor in India as BMW has discontinued their coupe cars such as X4 and X6.
Mercedes Benz will continue to sell GLC Coupe AMG besides the GLE Coupe AMG. The GLE Coupe 53 AMG is the bigger and better variant of the GLC Coupe. But the GLE Coupe is over 90 lakhs more expensive than the GLC Coupe.
The GLE Coupe 53 AMG is priced at 2.20 crore, on-road. It is bigger, wider and more spacious than the GLC Coupe. The GLE Coupe gets more features that are missing from the GLC Coupe.
Still, the Mercedes Benz GLC 43 Coupe AMG is an excellent car if one wants to buy a Coupe designed car. If one wants to buy a SUV, the Audi Q8 and BMW X5 M Sports would be better option than the GLC Coupe.
